Macraes Production Site Master Planning

Feldspar was contracted to assist Oceana Gold with the development and improvement of their Processing Plant at Macraes Mine, focusing on overall site master planning and project implementation. Their scope included reviewing existing operations, identifying and scoping key projects such as reconfiguring the SGS building, redeveloping the ablution block and metallurgical laboratory, and creating a dry/clean facility for descaling. They conducted stakeholder engagement, site audits, and condition assessments to inform a comprehensive master plan that outlined project scopes, estimated costs, and delivery programmes. Feldspar’s role also covered project management activities, including health and safety oversight, cost management, and coordination of additional consultants as needed. The final deliverable was a detailed masterplan document designed to guide the strategic development of the site’s ancillary buildings and infrastructure.
