John McGlashan College Masterplan

Feldspar was engaged by the John McGlashan College Board of Proprietors to deliver a comprehensive masterplan and strategic development framework that would guide the college’s growth over the next ten years. Their work involved conducting stakeholder interviews with teachers, students, parents, and staff to identify operational and physical needs, followed by high-level assessments of the current grounds and building stock. Working alongside architects and landscape specialists, Feldspar developed multiple masterplan options that integrated space planning, infrastructure requirements, and heritage considerations. They facilitated workshops to refine these options, ultimately producing a preferred plan accompanied by rough-order costings, prioritisation, and a staged delivery programme. The final masterplan provided the college with a clear, actionable roadmap aligning its facilities, resources, and vision to support academic, cultural, and sporting ambitions into the future.
